Succulents are plants that typically store water in fleshy leaves or stems, and which are accustomed to dry climates and strong sun in many, but not all, cases. It’s an informal designation and includes hundreds of species commonly seen in the houseplant hobby. While they have a reputation for easiness due to their often draught tolerant nature, they still want very high light, and some species can be as thirsty as tropical plants during the growing season.
