Mason Jar Moss Terrarium Kit

This kit includes everything you’ll need to create a miniature moss ecosystem inside a 16 oz glass Mason jar, along with detailed care instructions and background on the history of mosses. Moss terrariums are happy with indirect light from a window or grow light and watering every 1-2 months.

Students will need:

• A pair of scissors or sharp craft knife

• Distilled, rain, or filtered tap water (moss does not like mineral-rich water so avoid using unfiltered tap water).
